On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May 6 until Labour Day, a modified fare collection procedure at Harbourfront will be used, in order to speed boarding at busy stops at busy times. The special summer fare collection procedure includes all of the eastbound streetcar stops on Queens Quay, between Bathurst Street and Queens Quay Station.

Customers who board 509 HARBOURFRONT and 510 SPADINA streetcars at the eastbound stops on Queens Quay at Bathurst Street, Dan Leckie Way, Spadina Avenue, Rees Street, Simcoe Street, and York Street, and at the northbound platform at Queens Quay Station, can board the streetcar through any door. You do not need to pay a fare when boarding the streetcar at these stops. You must pay a fare instead when leaving the streetcar loop at Union Station. TTC personnel will be stationed at the exit from the loop to collect your fare.

Normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection procedures will be used at all other stops on the 509 HARBOURFRONT and the 510 SPADINA routes. If you board an eastbound streetcar at the Exhibition, or at the stops on Fleet Street, and you pay with tokens, tickets, or cash, you should request a transfer when boarding, to be used as proof of payment at Union Station.

This fare collection procedure will be used up to and including Labour Day.

From Monday to Friday during the summer, and seven days a week after Labour Day, normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection will apply at all stops.
