Collector Booths

You can purchase tickets, tokens and passes at collector booths, which are located at every subway station, except Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Highway 407, Pioneer Village, York University, Finch West, Downsview Park, Sheppard West and Wilson. These eight stations have Customer Service Agents who are available to answer your questions or show you where to purchase your fares.

  • Tokens are sold in various quantities at a minimum of 3 tokens for $9.00
  • Senior/Student tickets are sold in multiples of five or ten.

Subway station collector booths will accept debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express) for purchases of $10.00 or more.

Authorized TTC Fare Sellers

Tickets, tokens and passes are also available at over 1,200 Authorized TTC Fare Sellers in Toronto. Available fare types and payment method may vary by location. Search for the nearest authorized TTC Fare sellers, or call Customer Information at 416-393-4636 (INFO) and select "0" for Operator Assisted Service - available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except statutory holidays.

Token Vending Machines

Token Vending Machines are available in many stations and dispense tokens in quantities of one, three and six. Token Vending Machines accept cash only.

Pass Vending Machines   

Located in select Subway Stations, the Pass Vending Machine offers a variety of passes for purchase by debit and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express).

All passes dispensed through the Pass Vending Machine do not have a validation sticker - passes are valid and ready to use.

PRESTO Fare Vending Machines

PRESTO Fare Vending Machines are located at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Highway 407, Pioneer Village, York University, Finch West, Downsivew Park, Sheppard West and Wilson.

These machines dispense adult PRESTO cards. You can check your balance, load an adult TTC Monthly Pass or load money to your PRESTO card at this machine. By the end of 2018, every subway station entrance will have a PRESTO Fare Vending Machine.

To set a student or senior fare type on your card you must visit a select Shoppers Drug Mart location that sells PRESTO or go to the TTC’s Customer Service Centre at Davisville Station, 1900 Yonge Street.

Self-Serve Reload Machines

Self-Serve Reload Machines are available at select TTC subway stations. You can use these machines to load money onto your PRESTO card or check your balance. By the end of 2018, every subway station entrance will have a Self-Serve Reload Machine.

Toronto Pearson International Airport

You can purchase single fare tickets at Toronto Pearson International Airport. There are two TTC ticket vending machines in Terminal 1, located at the Public Transit area of the Ground Transportation Level, just inside from where the TTC buses stop (curbside, at column "R"). In Terminal 3, you can purchase single fare tickets at the Currency Exchange counter located on the arrivals level.

Use cash or major credit cards anytime of the day or night to purchase tokens and tickets. Detach and deposit the ticket portion into the farebox on the bus - retain your receipt portion. Ask the Driver for a transfer if you are planning to continue your trip on another connecting TTC route.
