Humber Loop closed for construction
April 24, 2017 to spring 2018
Work description and purpose
Access through Humber Loop will be restricted from April 24, 2017 to spring 2018 for TTC construction.
New tracks, accessible streetcar platforms, new shelters, new/wider underpass walkway, roof replacement of existing the service building, new electrical sub-station and associated underground conduits.
Changes to service
- There will be no transit service into the loop.
- 66A branch of the Prince Edward route will bypass the loop and extend east to Ellis Avenue, returning westbound via south on Ellis Avenue, west on Lake Shore Boulevard West, north of Windermere Avenue and west on The Queensway to regular routing.
- 501/301 Queen service continues to operate with buses west of Roncesvalles Avenue (since January 8, 2017), on The Queensway and Lake Shore Boulevard West, bypassing Humber Loop.
