Roof replacement

Scheduled start: August 2, 2017
Completion: September 30, 2017

Work details:

The TTC will be rehabilitating the roof at Keele Station to maintain it in a state of good repair. Removing and replacing the roof will ensure the bus transfer structure remains serviceable for decades to come. In order to keep the station open for our customers, construction work will be phased in several stages.

Transit Service:

Customers will board buses at different bays at the station beginning August 10, 2017. Signage will be posted. During each phase of construction, one bus bay will be closed to safely complete the roofing work. Once completed, the next bus bay will be closed so that work can continue sequentially.

Work Hours:

The majority of work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Some work is required to occur during the nighttime hours when there is no bus service.

Noise, Vibration:

Noise and vibration associated with construction is expected. Efforts will be made to keep both to a minimum.

Drainage system upgrade

Scheduled start: ongoing
Completion: January, 2018

Work details:

Drainage systems at platform and street level will be upgraded. Protective hoarding will be in place throughout the station as required.
