TTC’s Community Bus service connects customers to a variety of popular destinations along a unique neighbourhood route. It stops at the front-door of various buildings and landmarks, including local shops, community centres, health care facilities and seniors’ residences. While Community Bus uses the same type of vehicles that Wheel-Trans customers are used to, this service is for everyone.

  • It’s flexible. There is no need to book your trip; this bus runs on a schedule.
  • It’s friendly. These buses are fully accessible and our operators are helpful.
  • It’s simple. Anyone can ride a Community Bus with their TTC fare.

*Please note: Community Bus is operating on new schedules effective January 7, 2018. These schedule adjustments are being made to improve service reliability. An additional hour of service is also being added to the Community Bus Pilot routes (400 Lawrence Manor and 404 East York).

Community Bus routes and schedules:

Boarding the Community Bus

Community Bus serves regular bus stops and can be flagged down at any point along the route. The Community Bus route number is located on the bus stop pole in grey. Customers are encouraged to come to the bus stop or curb a few minutes before the bus is expected to arrive. This will ensure the driver has ample time to see you and stop the vehicle so you can board.

Community Bus Pilot

In September, 2017 TTC began the Community Bus pilot to test service enhancements along two Community Bus routes – 400 Lawrence Manor and 404 East York. The buses operating along the pilot routes now run more frequently and stop at additional destinations. This project aims to increase ridership, by providing customers with a more convenient and accessible travel option for getting around their neighbourhood easily.
